I've been looking through older posts and can't seem to get this problem fixed.
I am running Excel 2007, preinstalled by our IT person before I inherited this laptop, so I have no discs, no sw or anything for a re-install.
I have one workbook that is giving me grief on this error. The workbook consists of several sheets (30?) that I copy month to month as needed. Each sheet uses one fault - whatever the default is: Callibri I think. There are no charts; its all strictly numbers and small sum formulas in each cell with borders around. Nothing goes between sheets.
I don't see any Auto-scale options anywhere.
What is causing it and how can I fix it?
Thanks.

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
Not really sure, but my first impulse would be to check how many fonts are installed on that laptop. If it's an excessive amount, then I'd uninstall the ones that are not needed. The problem may not be confined to Excel, but associated with Windows itself. Since Excel uses the Windows fonts, reducing the number of installed fonts may resolve the problem.

if msword fails with the same error or when you open excel but just to a blank workbook and it fails, then it is a problem with your fonts folder in windows (corrupt font or too many fonts) try removing as many as you can and see what happens. othrwise your problem is with that particular sheet which could be hard to diagnose

it does not happen with MSWord. In fact, it does not happen with any other workbook other than this particular one. I have other workbooks with more data and more sheets in but they are not having this issue.
I've tried the registry key fix and it didn't seem to do anything. I also tried to find but couldn't anything that says "autoscale" in any of the settings on this particular document.
