Hello:

I don't know if excel will actually do this, but can you have a tab be named (or renamed) when a particular cell has a value inputted into it. What I envision is that a tab may say "Marbles" but when you type "Coins" into cell A12 (for example) that tab changes from Marbles to Coins. Any ideas?:confused:

I appreciate your feedback.

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
You can make a macro and assign a button to it

Code:
Sub RenameSheet()
    ActiveSheet.Name = [A12].Value
End Sub

or you can set it to change automatically when you update the cell

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
    ActiveSheet.Name = [A12].Value
End Sub
