From A3:A300 I have random numbers from 1 to 45.
From C1:AU1 I have the numbers from 1 to 45.

Which formula should be use to count how many time each number came out in column A ?

Thank you.

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.

Try this...

Enter this formula in C2 and copy across to AU2:

=COUNTIF($A3:$A300,C1)
