i need a macro to search column n and if it finds a "0" in it then it will change the cell in column O in that row to "0"

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
Try

Code:
Sub checkN()
Dim LR As Long, i As Long
LR = Range("N" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row
For i = 1 To LR
    With Range("N" & i)
        If .Value = 0 Then .Offset(, 1).Value = 0
    End With
Next i
End Sub
