Hi,

I need some advice on a dropdown list that I have in my Excel.
I'm looking for maybe an alternative with some more features?

Let me explain:

I have a dropdown list, with some VBA code I made it a multi select dropdown list, so if you want you can select multiple items, and it will separate them with a comma.

The annoying part is, you can only select one by one and need to open the dropdown for each selection you want to make.

Second thing, it's quite a long list, so to find something it can be difficult

So what I would like is 2 things, being able to select multiple things at once and to be able to search for something?
If been googling a bit, but can't find it, something as the filter window in Excel would be awsome...

Any advice?

Thank you
David

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
How many cells do you have like this? Just one, or many rows? If there's just one you should use a Combobox.

I have only one dropdown that I would like to get like this, but I have multiple dropdown lists on the same sheet (if that's what your asking).

See if this add-in helps:
search-delist
To insert multiple entries into the cell (separated by “, ”), hit F9 multiple times as needed and then finish with Esc instead of Enter

You probably need version "Search_deList_v_365.1.1-charly1.xlam" in post #135.
In this version, you can click label "S/M" to toggle single/multiple entry mode. In "M" mode hitting Enter will insert multiple entries.
