Need Count of data

Hello Excel Gurus,

Is there any formula to calculate the count of numbers which in filter. For an Example if a i filter any detail only that count should come in a prticular cell, when i change the filter to another data that count should come. If it can be done in macro also fine.
Please help me in this :)

Excel Facts

Format cells as currency
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+4 to format cells as currency. (Shift 4 is the $ sign).

I we set the autofilter, and in column C, we pick 1, we get:

The formula in cell F1

=SUBTOTAL(102,C:C)

the 102 means ignore hidden rows.
