Need formula to add 1 yr to previous date

This is probably a simple question for many. I don't use formulas often. I have numerous spreadsheets with dates (3/5/10) I need a formula to add a year to eliminate the need to manually enter it.

Try

=DATE(YEAR(A1)+1,MONTH(A1),DAY(A1))

For versions prior to XL2007, load the Analysis Toolpak for this:

=EDATE(A1,12)
