Need help generating lists

I need to create a spreadsheet with a couple of selectable options from drop-down lists that vary based on what is previously selected.

See the image below for more explanation:

I'm going to create a drop-down list using Data Validation where my first options are Alpha, Bravo and Charlie.

In a different cell, I want a drop down list to be populated on the items directly under each column.

For example, the user clicks on the list and selects "Bravo". The next cell should only list "5, 6, 7, 8, 9" as options.

I can create the first drop-down list easily enough but I'm not sure how to create the rule that selects the range for the next cell...
