I'm a beginner novice Excel user. I have an Excel workbook containing a lot of sheets in it. I want to know how to automatically copy the NAMES of the worksheets in this one workbook to the same names of the worksheets in a DIFFERENT workbook (which has the same number of sheets). I've been doing CTRL-C and then CTRL-V, but that is very tedious.

Thank you.

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
So for Example....
If we have
  1. Workbook1
    1. Sheet1
  2. Workbook2
    1. Sheet1

you want to be able to copy the data from Workbook1 Sheet1 to Workbook2 Sheet2? Because in your statement you said you want to copy the NAMES of the worksheets to the same names of worksheets in a DIFFERENT workbook. You can't have the same name twice so I am assuming that you want the data copied.

Wouldn't it be easier to just do a "SaveAs" and duplicate the original workbook?
That way it would have the same data, and the same number of sheets...
