I am new to PowerPivot. I have PowerPivot to go out and query my SQL Server database and return the correct values. I selected PivotTable and created a pivot table on a new worksheet which is all working correctly.

Each day sales data is updated, so I need to refresh the data that is available to my Pivot Table. I can launch the PowerPivot Window and run the Refresh and my data updates just fine.

But I can't seem to get the connection between this PowerPivot result set and my original Pivot Table. It only is letting me create a new worksheet every time.

I would appreciate any assistance with how to get this working.

Thanks, Cindy

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
That's a new one for me Cindy. Weird question: are you able to record a video of the problem? If not, a series of screenshots illustrating each step? I am just totally at a loss on this one.

The issue was actually having multiple items in the PowerPivot Field List from all of my various tests. My refresh was not associated with the correct source. Is there a way to clean up this list on the top right of PowerPivot?

Thanks, Cindy
