I need some formula help. I need a formula to do product x Cost. I know how to multiple and get each individual product total cost, and then sum down, but I need it to do the calculation all in one formula...keep in mind I have ~1000 rows of data. Again, the goal is to calculate in 1 cell....

Any help is appreciated

Example
col a col b col c
# products cost
a 1 2.33
b 2 1.24
c 5 1.30
d 11 4.32

Product x Cost

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
What about hide the column with all the =b#*c#
or put it on another sheet and hide the sheet and sum total there and just reference the sum and bring it to the front page.

None of those options viable?

ack... slow typing, i got houdinid. I really need to learn more of the sheet functions. Thats very simple barry.
