I have a column represents a set of numbers (including negative value), and im trying to map it with 9 point scale

The Value Range is
9 =12
7 = 3
5 = -6
3 = -14
1 = -21

Need help to seek answers if the value to map the range is 12.4, 6.8, -6.3, -8.5, -15 and so on.
Not sure how to do the negative value in excel

Thanks in advance for helping me out here!

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
It's not clear what you are trying to do with the numbers.
When you say "map", are you meaning that you want to retrieve the number on that line in the chart and put it somewhere else...?
Or calculate it somehow...?

If you show an example of what you want your results to look like,
and what cell reference you want it to be in, etc...
someone might understand your goal better...
