Need help with "if" and "or" formula

I have a cell (A1) that will have a "G" or a "B" or be empty.
I have another cell (B1) that will have a number in it
I need a forumula that will populate a cell as follows:
if A1 = "G" add 2
if A1 = "B" subtract 2
if A1 = blank add 0
and then add B1

=IF(A1="G",SUM(B1 + 2),SUM(B1 - 2))
