Hello,

Here is the file path of a png file I want to merge into an InDesign document. So yes, the png file is five folders deep on iCloud. What syntax do I use to name this file path for the csv file to merge into InDesign?

‎⁨iCloud Drive⁩ ▸ ⁨__shared drive⁩ ▸ ⁨Z files ▸ ⁨label info ▸ ⁨processing info ▸ ⁨labels files

I appreciate any help with this.

Thx

K.

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
I found the answer somewhere else and will post it here in case it helps someone else. (I tend to post on MrExcel because I get such great answers here! I know that this particular thread was a little off, even though it involves a CSV file.). Here's the solution to finding the correct file path syntax:
1. Place one image from the desired folder into an InDesign document
2. Check the Links panel
3. Right click and select Copy Info and then Copy Platform Style Path. That should give the path needed to add to the CSV data merge file.
4. Make sure the column header in the CSV starts with a "@" symbol to denote it being an image path.
5. Follow the directions from this article < Data Merge InDesign: A Quick Tutorial (Updated 2021) | Redokun Blog > regarding image setup.
