need to change pivot table default of columns from sum to count

I have a data table with numbers and words. Need to change the defaults (all together) because on to much columns, changing from count of values to average of values or sum of values . hope you will understand my request. thank you

Can't you just right click on the pivot table, click show field list, go to values drop down box and hit value field settings and change it to what you want?

No i cant, as i want to change every column from sum to count. Even if i select all of them and i want to apply this it wont change all of them. Sum of them doesnt change. Could you help me on this topic. Thank you for your time

The steps i just listed provides the option to change to count. If that's not actually what you mean I'm not very clear on what you're trying to do

Whatever you have under values will have a box. It will say whatever you called your series and have a little drop down arrow on the far right of it. Click that arrow and hit value field settings. Change it to count
