Hi,
I am a new-commer to the forum and have a limited knowledge in using Excel. I wonder if anybody could help please??

I have created a simple bar chart, containing 6 rows and 2 columns of data: the subject and its value. On the graph the subject is displayed at the bottom of each bar and when I change the value, the bar changes up or down accordingly.......So far so good  but then the trouble started ......... I wanted to express the bars of the graph using different colours according to their value:
1-4 green,
4-8 amber and
9 red.
I have managed to conditionally format the cells in the data field and they change correctly but I cannot figure out how to change the colours of the bars in the chart, I can change the chart colours manually using fill, but does anyone know if I can have the graph change colour depending on its value??
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
Andy
