couldnt find the answer from Excel help screens, but is there a way of just protecting select cells (formulas) without locking the entire worksheet? there are cells that need data entered by multiple users, but some where I want to hide the formulas so they can't edit them.

is this possible?

Welcome to the board.

A little trick I like...

AFTER you have entered the formula as you see fit..
Highlight the cell(s), click Data - Validation.
Choose Custom
Enter some sort of password...ANYTHING really.
Click OK.

You will still be able to SEE the formula, but won't be able to change it.
And This will not prevent someone from pasting over the cell.
But you won't be able to type in the cell...er
technically you can type in the cell, but when you press enter it will not allow it, and the formula will be preserved..

Hope that helps.
