Hello All,
I have developed a table to extract the million, thousand and hundred from a given figure. =N() command is returning the "0". How can I convert these non number values to number?

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Try these alternative, shorter, formulas:

<b>Excel 2003</b><table cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";background-color: #FFFFFF;border: 1px solid;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #A6AAB6"><colgroup><col width="25px" style="background-color: #E0E0F0" /><col /><col /><col /><col /></colgroup><thead><tr style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;text-align: center;color: #161120"><th></th><th>A</th><th>B</th><th>C</th><th>D</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">1</td><td style="text-align: right;border-bottom: 1px solid black;;"></td><td style=";">Millions</td><td style=";">Thousands</td><td style=";">Hundreds</td></tr><tr ><td style="color: #161120;text-align: center;">2</td><td style="text-align: right;border-top: 1px solid black;border-right: 1px solid black;border-bottom: 1px solid black;border-left: 1px solid black;background-color: #CCFFFF;;">987,654,321</td><td style="text-align: center;border-right: 1px solid black;border-bottom: 1px solid black;border-left: 1px solid black;background-color: #CCFFFF;;">987</td><td style="text-align: center;border-right: 1px solid black;border-bottom: 1px solid black;border-left: 1px solid black;background-color: #CCFFFF;;">654</td><td style="text-align: center;border-right: 1px solid black;border-bottom: 1px solid black;border-left: 1px solid black;background-color: #CCFFFF;;">321</td></tr></tbody></table><table cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";background-color: #FFFFFF;border: 1px solid;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #A6AAB6"><thead><tr style="background-color: #E0E0F0;text-align: center;color: #161120"><th><b>Sheet1</b></th></tr></td></thead></table><br /><br /><table width="85%" cellpadding="2.5px" rules="all" style=";border: 2px solid black;border-collapse:collapse;padding: 0.4em;background-color: #FFFFFF" ><tr><td style="padding:6px" ><b>Worksheet Formulas</b><table cellpadding="2.5px" width="100%" rules="all" style="border: 1px solid;text-align:center;background-color: #FFFFFF;border-collapse: collapse; border-color: #A6AAB6"><thead><tr style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120"><th width="10px">Cell</th><th style="text-align:left;padding-left:5px;">Formula</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><th width="10px" style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120">B2</th><td style="text-align:left">=INT(<font color="Blue">A2/1000000</font>)</td></tr><tr><th width="10px" style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120">C2</th><td style="text-align:left">=INT(<font color="Blue">(<font color="Red">A2-B2*1000000</font>)/1000</font>)</td></tr><tr><th width="10px" style=" background-color: #E0E0F0;color: #161120">D2</th><td style="text-align:left">=A2-B2*1000000-C2*1000</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></table><br />

You could use these formulas
=ROUNDDOWN(A1,-6)/(10^6)
=MOD(ROUNDDOWN(A1,-3)/(10^3),10^3)
=MOD(A1,10^3)

Thanks both of you. Your suggested both formulas serves the matter which actually I required but due to lack of knowledge I was wasting my time in wrong direction.
You are requested to please take a look into my new thread "Conversion of Numbers into English Words" which is actually based on this thread. I hope you will again be helpful to me. :bow:
