Hi everyone, I have a spreadsheet that contains formulas using if(and. for example:
=if(and(e5<j5,d5="",c5<>0),1,0)

This formula will return either 1 if true or 0 if false. I use this formula in a column (k)that has 100 rows of data and I want to have a formula in row 101 that gives the sum of the column. For some reason when I enter the formula =sum(k5:k105) it won't calculate the sum. I have formatted the column to be numbers.

Does anyone know why I can't sum up the column?

Thanks
Abe

Excel Facts

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
check to make sure that your calculation is not set to manual
Tools - Options - Calculation
Automatic is checked

if you don't want this on then when you make changes to your worksheet you would have to press F9 to manually calculate.

HTH

edit: also your if(and is not checking for more than one condition so the And is not required.
