I am trying to build a large report (70,000 KB) in excel 2000. I am almost finished, but it keeps giving me a message "Not enough memory" This is an Excel message. Now I can't even open up the file. This report was originally a Lotus file that I converted to Excel. I am up against a deadline now and I ran out of ideas.
Please help.

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
Brian, I was having the same problem last week however, I don't think my error was an Excel error message. In any case, I was getting a "not enough memory" error even when I was trying to save to an empty zip disk.

Our technicians told me my hard drive being full caused this problem. I didn't believe them but after I deleted files from my main hard drive, the problem seems to have been allieviated, at least temporarily.

The "Not Enough Memory" error is annoyingly popular and has many causes from the number of fonts installed in your system, to the number of charts you may have in a workbook.

Lookup "Not Enough Memory" in the Knowledge Base on the Microsoft site and see if there's a solution there to your particular problem.
