when we use NOT function, any example please

To test for inequality,eg:

=NOT(A1=10)

is equivalent to:

=A1<>10

=1-(A1=B1)

could be cheaper than a function call:

=NOT(A1=B1)

while

=NOT(A1)

where A1 housing a truth value or somehing like 0 yields an interesting usage.
