I have a workbook with 2 sheets; sheet 1 is called 'good news', and sheet 2 is 'new criteria'.

The good news data are the people who have been sent a letter. I need to identify these good news people on my 'new criteria' sheet so they are not contacted twice.

There is no unique job number or customer number, so I must look at the surname and the postcode to try and identify them.

Does anyone know what formula I can use for this please?

My titles are different, does that matter?
I have pasted the good news titles and the new criteria underneath.

Excel Facts

Who is Mr Spreadsheet?
Author John Walkenbach was Mr Spreadsheet until his retirement in June 2019.
From your post, I don't see Post Code on both sheets; I'm going to assume it's on new criteria somewhere so formulas can be edited to suit.

Parts of this solution require xl07 or better.

new criteria
This version actually pulls info from good news onto new criteria.

If you don't need the actual data, but just the indication, use the following, it will be slightl less intensive on your workbook.
