I have a column of date serial numbers in pairs...two values, a space, two more, etc. The height of this column can very, but I doubt in practical use I'd have more than 8 pairs of dates.

I'm looking for a way to offer the user a way to review and edit these numbers without actually editing the cells (Excel is not very robust to typos in dates/times). I've hidden the worksheet because other stuff is there and careless editing or deleting can cause a complicated graph to 'splode.

Not looking for actually code as a conceptual idea that would be relatively straightforward to develop and intuitive for the user.

Thanks.

To do this in code would probably be a bit of effort.

Maybe you can establish an area on one of the worksheets that the users can see which is linked directly to the cells you're referring to, but with Data Validation rules set to ensure that only dates can be entered.

Without seeing what the user is seeing, I can only hypothesise, however.

History tells me these bozos would dork it up if I let them on the page...

Although I don't really know how, I was thinking that maybe I could load them into a list box from which one could be selected for removal or editing.

How do the users update the workbook now? Is there any data entry? Is there already a useform or do they edit on another worksheet?

My line of work requires me to establish "editable" areas of worksheets for users as well, I know what you mean.

Well, in that case you may need to expand your userform to allow for date entries - something along the lines of the Listbox control you mentioned.

Sorry, I don't have any other awesome ideas for you.

Currently that is the only use for the userform...entering the dates. the rest of the data is read in from a file on a server based on input cells on the spreadsheet (edited by spinners, not manually).
