Number of days to date

Hello. I am trying to write a formula that takes into consideration a start point. Our fiscal year began Jul 1, 2007. Taking that into consideration, I am trying to write a fomula that takes todays date -today() and gives me a number which today is 33, (the number of days between Jul 1 and today.)
Could you help me out. I have a block with todays date in it that updates as soon excel is started. I just need help with the formula.

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Sort by date Sort by votes
You should just be able to subtract the two, the result will be the number of days.

Assuming today's date in A1, perhaps:

=A1-DATE(YEAR(A1)-(MONTH(A1)<7),7,1)+1

Format as General.

I don't know whether the answer you are looking for is 32 or 33 ... make adjustment to the formula accordingly.
