Numbers Shown as Dates

I'm working on a pretty large model and when I open the file, the numbers in certain parts are appearing as dates (something like 9/30/1905). In order to fix this, I click on the row and change the formatting to 'genera'l and the numbers revert back to their original formatting...but it's a pain to continually do this. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Thanks for the responses. I'm running '07 and didn't see anything in the Options section about dates as two digits. How would I alter or view my theme?
