Hello All!

In cell A2 I have the following: 01/01/04
This cell has a custom format of : mmmm
Displaying the result: January

In the cell A34 I've manually typed January Absent Days. I would like to know if there is a formula that would take the month name January from A2 and display January with the additional words Absent Days.

I've tried =A2&"Absent Days" in cell A34, but the result is:
37987 Absent Days

What I would like to be displayed in A34 is January Absent Days

Any help would be greately appreciated.

firefytr and pennysaver

Both worked wonderfully. Thanks for your quick and accurate replies.
