Hi guys, I am using ACCESS 2007 with a SQL server backend and ODBC connection with linked tables. The only problem is, basically every day, my users have to sign on, then go to admin tasks on the PC and redo the ODBC connection or refresh it. Any way of keeping the connection current at all times?

Thanks,

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
I'm not sure. When I've used ODBC to link to SQL Server (which was only once) there was no need to re-create it each day - in fact, we set it up once and it's been fine for the last 4-5 years.

Possibly this is something unique to your environment. But my first question would be exactly how are you creating the ODBC connection - is it a machine DSN? System DSN? User DSN? are you using Windows Authentication or a password? How is the DSN being used to connect to the database? There has to be an answer - I can't believe that it's really necessary to do every day what you are describing.
