Two sheets, exported from the same database need to be combined into one spreadsheet. The one where I'm putting everything has about 35,000 rows. The second one, where I'm attempting tor copy from and past into the first sheet has about 45000 rows. If I try and copy all the data, minus the headers, I get an error message saying

You can't paste this here because the Copy area and paste area aren't the same size. Select just one cell in the past area or an area that's the same size, and try pasting again."

So I copy/pasted one cell and it worked. Next I copy/pasted one line. Then I tried copy/pasting several rows, a few dozen, then a couple hundred. It works and continues to work until I try to copy/paste a few hundred rows. If I copy paste 200 or so rows at a time it works. Let's say I did that five times for a total of 1000 rows. It works if I do 200 at a time, five times... it all fits. As soon as I try and take those same 1000 rows (200 x 5) I get that error message.

Any ideas? There's about 40,000 rows and doing them a couple hundred at a time is not optimal.

Thanks

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
RESOLVED --- Weird, but if I saved the first doc with a different name, closed then reopened I could copy/paste everything.

Any idea what was going on?
