I have a workbook where a menu form is displayed and the application visibility is set to false.

If I open a workbook through VBA it opens but is not visible because I set the application visibility to false.

Rather than have to set it back to True is there any way I can get it to open the file in another copy of excel?

Thanks

Yes - for example:
Code:
Dim appXL as Excel.Application
Set appXL = New Excel.Application
appXL.Visible = True
appXL.Workbooks.Open "your path here"
