Hello,

I'm trying to open a workbook and pull data from it, but when I do that, it always opens in the way. I want to try to find a way to minimize the workbook that I am pulling data from. Here is what I have so far... The bold, underlined line is what I'm trying to use to do this, but it doesn't work.

Code:
Dim MY As Workbook
Dim FIMS As Workbook
Set MY = ActiveWorkbook
Set FIMS = Workbooks.Open(Filename:= _
    "C:\Documents and Settings\FIMS\FIMS - Consolidated .xlsx")

[U]FIMS.Visible = False
[/U]

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Try:

Code:
Application.Visible = False
don't forget to make it visible sometime down the road.
