Out of Memory VBA error

I have two spreadsheets that when I open and do much of anything to, I get a VBA error that says "Out of Memory" and then I have to click ok about 10 times before it goes away. Every couple of times it causes excel to crash. The file is not full of data or overly complicated macros, so I wouldn't think it is the size of the file or the macros that is the problem. Anyone have any ideas? It's driving me nuts.

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Consider the possibility that one of your macros might be calling itself repeatedly. Can you post the contents of your event handlers - Worksheet_Change, Worksheet_Calculate, etc?
