Output Table To Excel

I know how to output my tables to excel using a macro but I need some code for a button that will ask me what table I want to output.

Why not make a list of the tables you have into a table called, tblListOfTables

Then make this into a combo box on the form. (cboTable)

In your coding do this

Dim rs as recordset

rs.OpenRecordset (me.cboTable)

let me know if that works

This would probably work but I also want to be able to output forms and reports. I have several forms so it would probably be easier to use a prompt. I just don't know what code to write for it.

I think the lists would be too big.

Exporting an Access Report to Excel is not that advisable, see the following:

It's a bigger headache than it's worth, you end up with missing data, data-type coercion, etc... Unless you can live with all of that.

If you want to export a named Query, here's one of several options:

You could use a Listbox for this.
