Hi,
I have one workbook which contains data I'm trying to pull into another. I've set up my data workbook with named ranges in both rows and columns, so I can for example go "=Revenue Year14" and it'll take the overlapping value of the row/col named ranges to return a value.
In the other workbook, if I do something along the lines of "=Data.xlsx!Revenue" (which refers to just the row) or "=Data.xlsx!Year14" (which refers to just the row) then it returns a value as expected. It also works when I close the workbook which will be the case when I'll be using this. HOWEVER, if I go "=Data.xlsx!Revenue Year14" it returns a NAME error.
Can I ask what's wrong here? Surely there's got to be a way of referring to overlapping named ranges in an external workbook...
