Hello there!

Is is possible to add some own help-texts to ActiveX command buttons? Such as that the text comes on when the user is hoovering over the button element.

What I need is to add user-help items to an Excel 2007/VBA application. There is no property to that within the ActiveX items' property collection?

Best regards,

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

Hi, You could try this:-
Add an "ActiveX" Text box next to your Command Button, set is property to Multiline.
Adjust control Names in code to suit.
Code:
Private Sub CommandButton1_MouseMove(ByVal Button As Integer, ByVal Shift As Integer, ByVal X As Single, ByVal Y As Single)
Const lngSensitivity As Long = 5
   With ActiveSheet.CommandButton1
      ActiveSheet.TextBox1.Visible = _
       (X > lngSensitivity And X < .Width - lngSensitivity And _
         Y > lngSensitivity And Y < .Height - lngSensitivity)
           ActiveSheet.TextBox1.Text = "This is the Mouse" & vbCrLf & "Move Result"
End With
