Page Break Problem

I have combined 30+ budget worksheets into one worksheet, which is now appx 13,000 rows long. I have assigned range print names to each of the 30 parts of the worksheet that individual managers need to view or print. I inserted a manual page break at the beginning of each section. My problem is that automatic page breaks appear at random points throughout, resulting in some pages printing only a few lines, and breaking each section into mutiple pages. When i go to page break view, I can drag the automatic page breaks to where i need them, but when i go back to normal view, they appear again, and print that way. Is there a way to remove automatic page breaks? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.
Welcome to MrExcel.

You would need to adjust the Zoom so that the sections between your manual page breaks fit on one page.

Andrew - the section between the manual page breaks do fit on one page, but i am still getting random automatic page breaks that consist of only a few lines between pages.

Excel only adds an automatic page break at the bottom of what will fit on the page. So you need to check again that the sections between manual page breaks do fit on the page.

I am really struggling with this. Here is a specific example of what is happening:

I have a print range of A2134:R2446 that prints 7 pages. 5 of those pages print 56 rows to a page.

There are manual page breaks inserted at A2202, A2249, A2287m A2319, A2373, and A2408.

There are automatic page breaks at A2204 and A2343, that cause one page to print on ly 2 lines and the other to print only 24 lines.

I can drag the automatic page breaks to where they should be, but as soon as i change the view or actually print, they again appear in the same location.

Any ideas?

I think I finally got to the bottom of this. Another source I asked provided me with "Excel specifications and limits", which shows that any given worksheet and workbook has a maximum limit of "1,026 page breaks, horizontal and vertical". If you exceed that, you will get random page breaks throughout, not just the newest ones, and those page breaks will not show up on your preview under any view option. The bottom line is that your actual print results will be different than what you expect.

Does anyone know how i can determine the number of pagebreaks in a worksheet? Simply counting the number of pages shown on the page break preview does not work, as actual printing produces more pages than reflected there due to the issue noted above. I am wondering if there is some kind of system query that would show this. I greatly appreciate any help.
