Page break removal

This is a general, not coding, enquiry.
I run Windows 10 Pro and use Office 365 Pro. I'm having trouble with page breaks from certain downloaded Excel files. Whatever I try I cannot remove the page breaks which play havoc with printing. The workaround is to choose "Fit to" options from "Scaling". It's only download files. Files I create behave as expected. What's really weird is it's only just started happening.
I can't find a solution using Google search.
Any thoughts oh wise ones?

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Are you saying that Page Layout > Breaks > Reset All Page Breaks, doesn't fix the issue ?

No ctrl+A does not seem to be required.
A csv file ???
Does it actually have the csv extension ?
It shouldn't be possible for a csv file to have page breaks in it. I am assuming you have eliminated automatic page breaks after a set number of lines based on the page size ?

Have you opened the csv file in notepad to see if there is anything odd at the line where it is advancing to the new page in excel ?
What happens if you save the file back to csv and then reopen it ?

Checked in notepad. Looks OK. Saved with new filename. Opened new file in Excel. Result the same.
Attached are redacted snips of 1) file on opening 2) with page break preview.

Oh dear. It's worse. It seems that all my Excel files are affected (infected?). Do you know if there's a virus going round? I have Windows 10 security and Malwarebytes (Premium). Pinning no longer works.
