How to insert a page number to read

page 1 of 4 (4 being the total number of pages in this particular workbook)

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
In the footer, I want it shown as Page 1 of 3 (on page one), Page 2 of 3 (on page two) and so on. Is there a way to do this

Under "Page Layout" menu, open "Page Setup" options. Select "Header/Footer" and change the "footer" drop-down box to the type of page numbering you want to use.
