Password required to run macro

Hi,

I wonder if someone can help. Is it possible to build a password into a macro so that a user can't run the macro programme in Excel unless they enter the correct password. So I was thinking of something like - run macro in Excel, request for passord/serial number comes up, enter password and macro continues running.

Simple enough, unless you forget to password protect the code, too, else they can just read the code to get the password. Add this one line near the top of your macro to do the password test:

IF Application.InputBox("Enter the password", "Password", Type:=2) <> "Mysecretpassword" then Exit Sub
