Hi Guy - wondering if you knew the answer to this one??

I have got made a spreadsheet - which i only want certain users to get access to. I have created a button on another page (entry page) and would idealy like for the button to bring up a text box in which the user can only type the password inorder to enter it?? i dont not want to password protect the entire workbook - just that one sheet - because users need to get infromation from other sheets in that workbook.
Thank you!! x

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying

This is relatively easy to do.

You can use the Visible property in VBA to hide the sheet from view:

Code:
Sub HidetheSheet()

Sheets("Sheet2").Visible = xlVeryHidden

End Sub

You can then attach code to your button to unhide the sheet:

Code:
Sub ButtonOne()

SheetPassword = InputBox("Enter the Password")

If SheetPassword = "123ABC" Then Sheets("Sheet2").Visible = True

End Sub

You would just have to remember to hide the sheet again when the user is done viewing/using it.

Hope this helps.
