PDF to XLS

Hi All,
I have an order from my customer which is in a PDF format, although because of all the page formatting and things it needs to print on A3 size paper which is annoying but also because I cant just copy and paste. They create the order in excel and then PDF it. I have asked them not to PDF and their response is then need to lock the document so that it cant be altered.
So...I started googling a PDF to XLS converter, and there are heaps. I have downloaded a few of them and they dont return a clear conversion.

Has anyone used a PDF to XLS converter that they were happy with?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

In my experience most of the ones I've tried struggle with anything more than the most basic layout. Sounds to me like your customer is just being awkward.

There have also been numerous discussion on PDF to Excel converters on these forums over the years. If you do a little digging/searching you should be able to dig up some of those posts, and they might give you some of the insight you are looking for.
