I have a table of numbers that I want to apply a percentage increase.
this persentage rate could change monthly

e.g.
colum B has list of numbers cell A1 has percent rate e.g. 8%

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Enter 1.08 in A1 and copy it.

Select the numbers in column B, Edit > Paste Special, tick Multiply and click OK.

Thanks, I will keep that in mind....

I wondered if there is a way to update all the figuers to show the percentage increase automatically
e.g B2 contains 200, if the percentage rate in a1 was 8% b2 would show 216 if the rate changed b2 would change.

You would need to do that calculation in another column like this

Excel Workbook
ABC
18%
2200216
Sheet1
