How do I save my personal workbook for the following reasons:-

1) If my computer crashes and needs to be wiped for whatever reason, I would like all my macros on my back up drive.

2) I have about a dozen macros on my work PC that I want to put into my personal workbook on my laptop, for whenever I work from home.

Thanks.

Excel Facts

Repeat Last Command
Pressing F4 adds dollar signs when editing a formula. When not editing, F4 repeats last command.
So I need to copy them all one by one rather than copying the personal workbook and pasting that onto the other PC.

You can copy the lot from one personal.xls and paste into another personal.xls. If you copy the whole file and paste it you'll overwrite the original on the lappy.

No, you can create a copy like mikerickson noted.

Although, I would give it a different name like Copy of Personal.xls.

You shouldn't need to. With Excel open, in the VBE you should see personal.xls in the Project window.

The Personal Macro Workbook is a hidden workbook, just like other hidden workbooks.
How to access Hide/Unhide workbooks varies from version to version. Entering "hide workbook" into Help will guide you for your version.

If all you have in the PMW is VBA code (no data stashed on the worksheets), you could export the code module from the PMW on one machine and import it to another machine's PMW.
