Phone dialling software

I'm told it's possible to connect a PC to a phone, highlight a number on-screen and have the PC send tones to the phone, causing the phone to dial the number highlighted.

If anyone has any idea how to achieve this, I'd very much appreciate the advice.

Hi

I was expecting someone to say "buy this cable and plug it in here and here, download this software and you're done". This is very thorough! Unfortunately it's lost on me as I don't know a **** about VBA unless it's spoon-fed.
