Pick list filtering

Hi,

I have a spreadsheet that is used by hundreds of people each entering transactions for end of month financial reporting. This information is then all collated into a central sheet.

One column has a pick list of suppliers, a preset list - this is required so there are not numerous versions of spelling for each supplier etc.

As the pick list has 100+ suppliers each time a row is completed with transaction information, the user must scroll through the list to pick out the correct supplier. Over many entries by many people there is a lot of time lost in doing this.

Is there any way that the sheet (which is sent out to all users fresh each month) can have the pick list work so that it filters out according to what is typed into the cell. i.e. if I type "a" it filters to show only suppliers names starting with a?

Is this possible without macros?
