Pivot and sums

Hi, whenever we create Pivot table and drag fields headings it gives us count can that be defaulted to sums and not counts?

And 2nd inquiry is...
Can I select all the fields together and make it sum instead of count?

In a Pivot table when you drag data considered as text to the "VALUES" field, by definition the pivot table always count that data, note that when you drag data´considered mumber the pivot by definition does the sum.

Hi again, thanks for getting back.

The data that i currently have are all numbers and not text.

col A has date, b has names, d,e,f,g and h has data numbers between 70-100.

I simply want to know if there is a way to change the fields directly by selecting multiple fields and then change it to count or to sum or maybe to average etc.
