Hi all,

Nothing better than an odd-ball request from your boss late Thursday night that you start working on Friday Morning! :(

I have a pivot chart (side-by-side bar graphs) where for some groups, there is a 0 value for a year. I have the groups spaced out enough so that the 0s are pretty obvious, but my boss wants me to show a bar-graph at 0.5 to show this (I'm counting patients, so I can't have 0.5 patients). I originally had put data labels in, and then deleted all the non-zero labels, but she didn't like that.

I have looked everywhere but cannot find anything. I've tried to set my Empty Cells values to 0.5, but the data in the pivot table is moved to the right (whereas everything else is to the left) and nothing changes on my graph.

TIA
Chris

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
well I'm not happy with the results, but I have decided that the only way i can do what I need to is copy and paste special (Values) the pivot table, and then add the 0.5's to the blank cells. This means I have to redo all my graphs :-( but I can't think of anything else to do. *sigh*.

Oh well, thanks for your time.....
Chris
