I have a pivot table result with one variable included in the output. This one variable has three sub-variables. How can I substract one of the sub-variables from the other two sub-variables in reaching the grand total. I can't figure out how to do this in a calculated field because the sub-variable that I want to subtract cannot be "addressed."

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Hi, Daisy :)

Please, can you post some sample data?

I'm expecting, BTW, to use some SQL to do the calculation. If you search there will be similar old threads where I've posted.

cheers
