Pivot Table Calculated Item "Item cannot be added or modified"

Hi everyone

I am trying to edit my pivot table in Excel 365. Below is test data to demonstrate. I want to be able to add in a calculated item (or field??) which adds the total of two communities together - Other + Students and just names the entry as Students. I would then remove the two separate entries from the filter, so I just have the calculated item. I'm not sure if I am doing this correctly, but I've tried inserting "calculated item", but I receive an error message as below. I realise I could potentially change the source data, but I was hoping for a more automated solution. If I manage to add a calculated item, does that mean I can't use the filters?

Easier to just select those two items, right-click and choose Group. That will add a new field with that grouping (which you can rename), then remove the original field from the pivot.
