Hi all,

I'm wondering if there is a way of checking the source data in the order it lists it in a pivot table.

I am trying to delete rows of information based on realizations ive come to using a pivot table. I can't figure out how to have the soure data show up in the same order so I can delete the right data without having to search through all 50,000 rows.

Thanks for the help!

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Make sure "Enable Drilldown" is selected in the pivottable properties. (To check, right click on the table, select "table options". If it is checked, you should be able to double click on the result you want to check. The data that feeds into that result will be copied to a new worksheet that you can then look over. However, to delete the data, you will still need to find it in the original data set (maybe by using MATCH or VLOOKUP), and change it there. You will then need to refresh the pivot table to see the impact of the changes.
