HI All,
Wondering if there is any way to change the defaults on a pivot table. I have one that has a fairly large amount of fields I wish to include in the Values section (using Excel '07).

My problem is that it defaults to "Count of" instead of "Sum of". Is there any way to change that? Going one by one is becoming a headache.

Thanks,

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
If you are summarizing columns that have text, it will default to count. Numeric data will default to sum.

I just tried again, and it doesn't work.

The data is being dumped into Excel by a report generator. The Column & Row headers are all test, but the values in the middle are all numbers. I went back and formatted all of the data as numbers and then rebuilt the reports and still defaulted to Count.

Sorry, any other ideas?
